He spent much of his childhood on the streets, begging for food, sleeping in corridors, and fighting to survive. Johnson remembers growing up without parental care. His father abandoned the family when he was very young, and his mother was unable to provide for him. Left with no guidance, he ended up on the streets, surviving by collecting scrap and doing odd jobs. Life was unforgiving. Some nights he went to bed hungry, and at other times he was beaten or chased away by security guards.
