Florida Man Joseph Leedy Crashes Into Jail

According to Fox35, police say Joseph Leedy deliberately crashed his vehicle through the front doors of Martin County Jail in southeastern Florida. He then poured oil on the ground and scattered several rubber snakes.

The outlet additionally states that Joseph Leedy drove across the parking lot, near the entrance walkway and into the jail’s front lobby. Shortly after the crash, he poured motor oil on the lobby floor and eventually threatened to set it on fire and “kill everyone.” Deputies claimed that the 40-year-old committed the crime while wearing a woman’s blouse with no pants.

Fortunately, deputies confirmed that the lobby was empty at the time of the crash and Leedy was unable to get through the security doors of Martin County Jail.

Law enforcement later arrested Leedy at the jail and booked him on four counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.

More Shocking Florida Incidents

Joseph Leedy’s incident is just one bizarre incident that has occurred in Florida this week.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Paola Garcia tracked her bags to an airport worker’s home, resulting in the employee facing felony charges. According to Florida’s Local 10, Garcia flew with Spirit Airlines. She usually travels with her pink luggage, but this time, the airline allegedly made her check the bag.

While waiting inside Terminal 4 at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Paola noticed that her bag was missing. However, surveillance footage showed employee Junior Bazile rummaging through Paola’s luggage, eventually removing her MacBook, two Apple watches, an iPad, and some designer clothing items.

The next morning, Paola’s Apple Watch alerted her from a location 15 minutes away from the Fort Lauderdale airport. So, she opted to retrieve her belongings personally.

Junior Bazile emerged as a suspect when a Broward County Sheriff’s Office detective cross-referenced the address in the internal airport database. By the time authorities approached Junior, he had disposed of the stolen items, leading prosecutors to charge him with grand theft.
