Eminent Administrators Join KIIT

Shri Ashwini Kumar Mishra, a retired IAS officer with over 34 years of administrative experience in the Government of Odisha, has joined KIIT as Director, Academics.

A Post Graduate in Political Science from Utkal University and M.Phil. in Diplomatic Studies from JNU, New Delhi, Shri Mishra held key portfolios such as Director, Higher Education and Chairman, CHSE; Director, AYUSH; MD, MARKFED; and GM, Odisha State Medical Corporation. He also played a vital role in post-cyclone relief in Ganjam during his tenure as ADM.

He is well known for his leadership in education, reform, public health, cooperative development and digital governance.

In another development, Dr. Abhaya Kumar Nayak, O.A.S. (Retd.) has joined KIIT as the Director, Administration. He was a distinguished officer with decades of commendable services in various key administrative capacities.

Earlier, he had served as the Registrar of Utkal University, where he played a vital role in streamlining academic and administrative processes. He had also held the position of Special Secretary, Govt. of Odisha and served as the additional Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha where he ensured the efficient and transparent conduct of elections across the state.

Known for his administrative acumen, integrity and dedication to public service, Dr. Nayak is widely respected in both governmental and academic circles.

With their joining, the academics and administration wings of KIIT are expected to be augmented to the next-level in attaining remarkable feats and milestones.
