Sheebah Karungi opened up about one moment during the 2018 Coke Studio Africa show when she nearly quit due to issues that she had with her management at the time.

Sheebah says that there have been several moments in her career when she has nearly quit but one moment in 2019 stands above the rest.

She remembers hiding in the dressing room just before her performance with Harmonize, frustrated because of the issues she had with her manager back then.

During an interview on Galaxy TV, Sheebah narrates that she wailed and thought about leaving music for good but reflected and realized it was her brand that would be damaged the most and not her manager.

Sheebah remembers gathering herself and going to the stage and performing a Harmonize song ‘Atarudi’ which she twisted to be about her father and people ended up loving her emotional performance.

Sometime during the Coke Studio Africa project, I was at my lowest. I was in the dressing room before my performance, a lot of things had happened with my management at the time. I hid beneath the table and started wailing.

I felt fed up. In my head, I wanted to just get up, grab my flight ticket and passport, and leave. I wanted to quit but again thought, “Who are you gonna hurt in the end? You will only hurt yourself the worst.” So every time I wanted to quit on myself, I remembered am not doing this for anybody else but myself.
