Charles Ssekyewa Explains Why Jose Chameleone Should be Worshipped as a Religion in Uganda

Veteran singer Charles Ssekyewa has sparked social media debate following his claims that Jose Chameleone is the most incredible artist the country has produced and therefore deserves to be worshipped as a religion.
Ssekyewa made the revelation while speaking in a TV interview where he described the Leone Island boss as an untouchable being who has hit all major milestones in the industry.
Giving his reasons to back up the outrageous comments, Ssekyewa explained that Chameleone has done a lot for Uganda and even exported his talent beyond borders.
“Jose Chameleone is an entire religion. I do not care if other artists get angry by this, but that is it. He needs to be worshipped because he is incomparable. Joseph Mayanja has made significant contributions to this country and has also exported its products abroad. He has more than 30 Swahili hits, yet some Swahili artists do not have so many of those,” he said.

Charles Ssekyewa further praised the power that Chameleone holds in the industry to the point that he is not only respected in his home country but also beyond. He gave an example of when he made his trip to Congo and received a heroic welcome.
“He is the kind of artist who will go to Congo, Sudan, and they close the borders. If I were Chmaleleone, I wouldn’t be greeting people because I wouldn’t need anything from him. He is great and different. All artists know that they should fear him,” he said.
Ssekyewa’s submissions come in line with the recent scuffle between Chameleone and Alien Skin that has made headlines in the media.
