This, according to Mr. Vianney M. Luggya, the Spokesperson of Uganda Civil Aviation, is attributed to the arrival of delegations for CHAN 2024, increased tourism promotion, international conferences, and enhanced airline connectivity.
“Authority Entebbe International Airport handled 230,577 passengers in July 2025, the highest monthly traffic in the airport's history. This included 119,127 arriving and 111,450 departing passengers, averaging 7,437 per day. Arrivals exceeded departures during the month. The surge in July 2025 was partly driven by the arrival of delegations for CHAN 2024, increased tourism promotion, international conferences, and enhanced airline connectivity,” he said.
He said that the previous highest monthly traffic was recorded in December 2024, with 222,301 passengers, an average of 7,171 arrivals, and departures per day.
