Arsenal in £13m Barcelona talks; permanent deal for right-back expected before deadline

Bellerin set for Real Betis

Hector Bellerin could be easing Arsenal's backlog at right-back by securing a move to La Liga side Real Betis on Deadline Day.

Reports terminating from the local press in Sevilla are claiming that the Spaniard has agreed terms with Betis and has flown out to Spain this morning to finalise the move.

Those reports even go as far as to claim that the deal will be announced by either Arsenal or Betis by midday.

Bellerin is expected to take a significant pay cut for his La Liga switch and in turn, free up Arsenal to go and potentially recruit a new first-team option in the position before the window closes.

Barca consider move for Lacazette

Arsenal have offered out Alexandre Lacazette to Barcelona as they continue to try to offload players and lower their wage bill.

Reports out of Catalonia and France say Arsenal are prepared to let the Frenchman go for as little as £13m and are in talks with Barcelona who may bite at that low price.

Arsenal had hoped to agree a deal with Atletico Madrid earlier in the window but have since tried to convince their La Liga rivals Barcelona into a deal.

The Gunners have not been able to sell Eddie Nketiah during the summer window and have therefore moved their focus on to selling the more senior forward.

The 30-year-old is entering the final year of his deal having scored 66 goals in 172 appearances.

Wilshere seeks Italy move

Former Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere is currently training in Como as he seeks a move to Italy.

Sky Italy claims that the former Arsenal fan-favourite cannot be registered right now by a club on the continent because he’s a non-EU player.

However, they report that he knows people at Como and that has led to him training with the Serie B outfit, even though he’s preparing to play for a club in Italy in the future which could be elsewhere.

When asked about his future, Wilshere told TalkSPORT: “I've actually had a good pre-season.

“I've been training with a club just to keep myself fit. I'm in a good place, physically."

Bundesliga interest in Nketiah

An unnamed Bundesliga side are rivalling Crystal Palace with their interest in Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to Sky Sports.

Palace have held talks with Arsenal over a fee but a gap remains between the two clubs' respective valuations.

A German club have registered their interest in Nketiah having learned of Palace's inability to complete a deal.

Talks over a new contract for Nketiah at the Emirates broke down earlier this window.
