A Pass, legally known as Alexander Bagonza, has labeled the push for the copyright law amendment as a “foolish” move for the artists in the industry.
He explained that if he is to calculate, the money from copyright and loyalties is just a small portion of money that an artist would ever get.
He adds that even artists whose music is featured in movies earn just pennies from their craft compared to artists who garner huge numbers of streams and those who hold shows.
A Pass’ call to artists is to have the freedom to hold shows without political affiliations so that artists can benefit from their music. 
He adds that even artists from the Western world earn more from their music through holding concerts and streams.
If you calculate, the money you get from copyright is the smallest money an artist would ever get. Most of them are talking about copyright but it is one of the most foolish ways of looking at the business and industry.
I have heard and seen music in movies but there is not much money. Those are pennies. A musician can only benefit from shows and streams. That is what we should fight for. Even artists from overseas, they make money from shows.
When asked to comment about Eddy Kenzo’s recent appointment as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, he responded saying he has no comment before adding how he is not bothered by their visit to the State House.
He, however, called out the UNMF president to genuinely support the music industry so that artists can benefit from their music without strings attached.
