They pay peanuts – Why DJ Nimrod doesn’t DJ in Kololo bars

Nimrod Nabeeta alias DJ Nimrod revealed why he is not one of those DJs you will often meet deejaying at any bar around Kololo despite the area having turned out to be the number one partying center in Kampala.

According to the Galaxy FM radio host and events emcee, the bars in Kololo pay peanuts to DJs who hang out in those spots.

He stressed that the DJs who play in those bars are often paid between Shs20k to 70k per night which is quite too little for a branded and established DJ of his stature to pocket home.

He stresses that he only performs at a one-night club in Wakiso once a week and gets paid handsomely rather than being paid peanuts in Kololo bars.

DJ Nimrod further claimed that back in the day, he used to play at several hangouts because he wanted to be known but ever since he achieved his goal, he embarked on not being undervalued.

I’ve stayed relevant by knowing my worth and not undervaluing myself. Back in the day, I used to play from many places because I wanted to be known but that has since changed. DJ Nimrod

When asked how he handles women who love being close to celebrities, he admitted having been a Casanova and later changed to become a responsible man.

I used to be a Casanova, but I’ve matured into a responsible person. The advice I give young DJs is to be responsible. You don’t want to be 30 years old with 4 kids from different mothers. DJ Nimrod
