Southern Africa Brand Quality Award 2026 launched in Zambia as nominations opens.
Lusaka, Zambia: In a bold move to expand and elevate Quality standards while recognizing and promoting businesses, the Southern Africa Brand Quality Awards (SABQ Awards) has announced the official opening of nominations for its inaugural awards ceremony, scheduled for July 10, 2026, at a prestigious venue in Lusaka, Zambia.
This landmark initiative according to organisers marks a significant expansion of the award-winning East Africa Brand Quality Awards framework into the Southern Africa region.
SAQBA Chief Executive Officer and Country Coordinator, Patrick Nsubuga, announced that the event will be a transformative process for businesses, opening opportunities and doors for companies dealing in quality assurance.
He noted that the awards will provide winners with a seal of excellence, enabling them to export products globally and attract investment.
Nsubuga highlighted that Zambia was chosen to host the event due to its potential for investment and growth, describing it as a "virgin land" for investors.
According to Nsubuga the SAQBA is aligned with the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, hosted in Uganda.
Nsubuga indicated that the event aims to promote quality assurance, open global markets, and provide opportunities for companies to seek capital.
Ambassador Nsubuga praised Zambia for producing quality products that other countries, such as South Africa, are embracing.
He encouraged Zambian companies to seize the opportunity by participating in the awards ceremony to access the global market through the seal of excellence and attract capital.
“SABQAwards has been established with a singular focus on recognizing and promoting businesses, enterprises, and individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to quality standards, customer service, innovation, and business excellence” he said
The awards program is designed to: recognize companies and brands that meet internationally recognized quality benchmarks, promote adherence to ISO standards and best practices in manufacturing, service delivery, and operations, enhance consumer confidence through independent market research and verification, and award the coveted Quality Seal of Excellence to brands that exemplify superior quality standards
The Quality Seal of Excellence, is awarded during the gala ceremony, serving as a market differentiator and trust badge that signifies verified quality, enabling consumers to make informed purchasing decisions while rewarding businesses that invest in quality management systems.
