Christian Combs Posts Teaser For New Song Sampling LL Cool J’s Hit ‘Luv You Better’

The Y2K-inspired video had a filter that looked like a 90s camcorder. Clips showed a claw vending machine and beautiful women taking shots. Additionally, edits of Combs dancing with his girl were incorporated. The video also featured people getting lit at a party. Furthermore, Christian promoted Raven’s apparel business. He displayed the logo for her brand, ‘Body,’ on a wall.

The song, featuring artist Cash Cobain, used the hook from  LL Cool J’s 2002 hit. The lyrics were changed from “I’m gone love you better” to “I’m gone f*** you better.” He also borrowed the bars from Fabolous’ verse on the 2009 ‘Throw It In The Bag’ remix featuring Drake. However, Combs made some subtle changes. “If my lady like to eat Imma buy her restaurants, and she such a boss b**** she can hire who she want. She can help me blow this za — she the fire to my blunt,” he rapped. Instead of saying “green” like Fab, King referred to weed as “za.” He used more of the New York rapper’s lyrics, making slight changes.

Social Media Reacts To The Teaser For Christian’s New Song

Under The Shade Room’s comments, Roommates shared their thoughts about Diddy’s son’s new single.
“Imagine every single song you come out with is literally a sample. He’s so unoriginal and that’s exactly why he’ll never be taken seriously,” @realcarmenk said.
@kingnate__ quipped, “If I was already rich I wouldn’t even try to rap and embarrass myself like this lol smh.”
@thecoreyshow wrote, “This just made me remember how fire the original was. But I can’t blame him for putting in work, whole family gotta get a JOB like Craig.”
@simplicityiskee shared, “We need to leave some classics alone. Respectfully.”
What do you think? Did Combs body this song, or should he throw it in a trash bag?
