PS Local Gov’t Ben Kumumanya cautions Human Resource Manager against Recruitment Bribes
Over 237 Heads of Human resource management in Local Governments across the country have been summoned for a two week’s Orientation in Kyankwanzi, in a bold move to streamline the recruitment exercise in Government.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Mr. Ben Kmumanya directed that all government Jobs be advertised with disclaimers urging the public to desist from bribing recruitment officers as a deterrent measure against corruption.
P.S Ben Kumumanya reveled this while presiding over the opening ceremony of the Orientation of Heads of Human resource currently taking place at the National Leadership Institute kyankwanzi.
The training has been organised by the Ministry of Local Government in collaboration with the Ministry Civil service college and the National Leadership Institute kyankwanzi, running on key principles of Patience, commitment and sacrifice .

The training according to the P.S is aimed at enhancing capacities of heads of human resource in Local Governments to regroup into strategic and professional officers, and revolutionalising the human resource function in Government.
“You expected to develop an effective human resource management function in the public service and Develop strategies to combat corruption during recruitment, access to payroll and pension management” he said
He re-echoed the directive on job advertising warning that public jobs have to be advertised and that recruitment into government Jobs doesn't attract any fees.
