Nina Roz has firmly denied claims that she received money from the Federation despite assertions made by the Federation’s president, Eddy Kenzo that she received the funds.
The singer, who is recognized as one of the pioneers of the Federation, remains adamant that she never received any financial support, contrary to what Kenzo has publicly stated.
Nina Roz expressed her confusion and disappointment over Kenzo’s televised claims, insisting that no funds were given to her.
Nina Roz pointed at her role in the Federation’s early days, explaining that her primary objective was to advocate for the amendment of copyright laws and to help streamline Uganda’s music industry.
However, she decided to step back from the initiative after realizing that progress was stalling. “When I saw that we weren’t going anywhere, I returned to school,” she said.
She says that her current priorities lie in addressing larger issues within the country, rather than getting entangled in disputes over SACCO funds.
