Namiĺyango college celebrates 124 years of education excellence as Church & Buganda Kingdom leaders commend their legacy. .

Mukono: The Apostolic Nuncio Emeritus Archbishop Augustine Kasujja has commended the leadership of Namilyango college for spearheading and captivating a strong foundation of education were thousands of boys continue to excel.
Kasujja made the remarks 21st March 2026 during his homily as main celebrant at the Namilyango college Day mass marking 124 years of the college existence
The colorful ceremony took place at the college sports arena grounds attended by a mammoth crowd of old boys, staff parent'sstudents, friends and well-wishers.
The 2026 college theme was "Let us run with determination the race that is set before us' Heb 12:1.
He commended the college headmaster Mpuuga Constantine Sajabbi with the entire board for Inviting him as the first ever black African Apostolic Nuncio Emeritus to attend this high profile historical event saying may the Lord grant wisdom to the college's leadership to take forward their development agenda for the good of the boys.

Both the college board of governors and PTA chairpersons respectively in their statements pledged to implement the stragic development master plan which focuses at creating a conducive learning environment for the boys such that they carry forward the legacy of Namilyango.
The chief guest was the Buganda kingdom saaza chief for Kyaggwe County Owek.Ssekibobo Vincent Matovu congratulated the college fraternity for walking this great journey in providing high quality all round education package to the boys saying the kingdom strongly appreciates the big strides the college continues to undertake in educating the future leaders of tomorrow's world.
Sekibono himself an old boy of this prestigious college urged the leadership to ensure that the college regains its original status through intensifying efforts of continuing to be the academic gaints in the country.
The headmaster Mpuuga Constantine Sajabbi appreciated the catholic church leadership for the tireless support and strategic guidance rendered saying it had enabled them achieve tremendous positive results
He also thanked the Namilyango college old boys Association [NACOBA] for strategically supporting their college development through raising funds to support the bright but financially vulnerable students enabling them stay in school.
Through the Pelgrine Kibuuka Endowment fund, over 10 students are attending classes courtesy of this strong old boys body.
The NACOBA president Cornelius Henry Mukiibi highlighted how they have continued to raise funds through various platforms which add value to the cause of the college.
He observed that they have just hosted a students career guidance session to the boys as well as a free medical camp at the college 20th march 2026 targeting the surrounding communities as a give back gesture to their college
He noted that they procured computers and accompanying digital assessories, holding their prestigious NGO sports galas among other activities all geared towards promoting the good image of the college.
Both Sekibobo and Archbishop Kasujja planted trees in appreciation for the college 124 years of steady education journey progression as well as handed over hefty UGX one million shillings cash rewards to the nine boys who scored 20 maximum points pushing them into the university level as well as appreciating whoever added value to the cause of the college development agenda.
