Kitara won their first ever major silverware after defeating NEC 1-0 in the final played at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Saturday.

Second half substitute scored the winner in the 73rd minute to hand the Royals the win.

NEC dominated the game and created the better of chances but were lethargic in front of goal while when they shot on target, goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba was equal to the task.

In the end, Benjamin Ochan who wasn’t worked as Ibrahim Kiyemba and company defended excellently picked ball from his net off a flick from Okwalinga after a good low shot from Donato Okello.
