Joseph Mukasa’s Vision for Makindye-Sabagabo!! It’s Time to Put People First

Makindye-Sabagabo is a community full of promise, but for years, that promise has gone unfulfilled. Our roads are in poor shape, traffic congestion is a daily struggle, and flooding has become far too common. Many of our youth are unemployed, healthcare is under-resourced, and children attend school in crumbling classrooms. Joseph Mukasa has stepped forward to change this reality. As a candidate for Member of Parliament in 2026 under the National Unity Platform (NUP), his message is simple but powerful: People First – Service, Equity, and Transformation.

Joseph Mukasa is not entering politics for personal gain. He offers himself as a servant-leader—someone who listens to the people, understands their struggles, and works hand in hand with them to find real solutions. His goal is to restore dignity to every household and build a Makindye-Sabagabo where every citizen has access to essential services, equal opportunities, and a voice in shaping their future.

Improving infrastructure is one of Joseph’s top priorities. He understands the daily challenges caused by poor roads, traffic jams, inadequate drainage, and dark streets. That’s why he is committed to advocating for well-maintained roads, better marketplaces, proper drainage systems, and safer, well-lit neighborhoods. He believes our community can be clean, organized, and secure—with the right investment and planning.

Joseph also wants to create opportunities for the youth and empower women economically. He plans to support vocational training, provide startup capital, and promote partnerships with NGOs and the private sector to drive job creation. He believes that when young people and women thrive, families are uplifted and poverty declines.

On healthcare, Joseph has heard the pain of mothers who leave health centers without the medicine they need. He will advocate for better staffing, consistent medical supplies, ambulance services, and targeted health education campaigns focusing on maternal health, mental well-being, and sanitation.

Education holds a special place in Joseph’s heart. He is committed to rebuilding public schools, ensuring adequate learning materials, and improving teacher welfare. His plan includes bursaries and scholarships for children from low-income families, so that poverty never stands in the way of a child’s education.

Safety and justice are also central to Joseph’s vision. He aims to work closely with local authorities and law enforcement to tackle crime, drug abuse, and land grabbing. He supports the creation of legal aid clinics for the underprivileged and community-based programs to resolve disputes peacefully.

Joseph is also passionate about protecting our environment. He plans to champion reforestation, promote recycling, protect water sources, and advocate for laws that prevent wetland destruction. He supports farmers with climate-smart agriculture to help them cope with changing weather patterns.

Accountability and transparency define Joseph’s leadership approach. He pledges to fight corruption and ensure that government resources are used for the benefit of the people. He will host quarterly town hall meetings to engage with residents directly and provide updates. A fully functional constituency office will also be set up to offer legal support, advice, and a platform for citizen engagement.

If elected, Joseph promises to be present, accessible, and a true representative of the people. He will work for unity across different tribes, religions, and political groups. His leadership is based on service—not self-interest—and he is ready to boldly stand up for justice and progress.

The time for change is now. Makindye-Sabagabo deserves real leadership—leadership that listens, acts, and delivers. Joseph Mukasa is ready to serve, ready to lead, and ready to transform our community. All he needs is your trust—and your vote.

Vote Joseph Mukasa for Member of Parliament, Makindye-Sabagabo 2026. Choose integrity. Choose progress. Choose a better tomorrow. People Power is our power—let’s build our future together.
