Jenva: Breaking out with a unique blend of Afrobeats and Hiphop

Uganda keeps producing fresh talent with Jenva the latest discovery. Known to many as Jenva, Shafic Lwobawo is a multitalented artist from Uganda who blends Afrobeats with Hip-hop to create a unique sound.

He started his music career as a street freestyle rapper and has since worked with big brands such as Zalendo, Puma, and Adidas.

Jenva is pushing boundaries, blending genres, and breaking stereotypes in the music world. From the Pearl of Africa, he blends the Afrobeats with the lyrical prowess of Hip-hop, creating a sound that’s as diverse as the cultures that inspire them.

Raised by a single mother in Jinja, Jenva started his journey as a Fashion Creator at the age of 17. He later ventured into music as a freestyle rapper on the streets.

Beyond the existing life challenges, Jenva successfully coined a strong musical foundation for singing in church. He has also tried out modeling.

His catalog so far has songs like Nana, Soweto, and Hakuna Matata, among many others.

On his latest project dubbed ‘Yeye’, Jenva works with a Swiss rapper $aid. It comes off their EP dubbed “Different Vibe”.

Jenva promises more hard-core tunes and wants his Ugandan fans to witness the incredible multitalented artistry that sets him apart.

The 23-year-old believes he is Africa’s musical future!
