Park Futsal Club wrapped up a golden season with their third trophy of the season, the Futsal super cup.

A spirited 7-5 victory over Kisenyi at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena witnessed the victors claim an unprecedented treble.

Samuel Kalyango and Abasi Muluya each netted a brace. The other three goals came from Shafik Mulangira, Michael Abura and Derrick Walugembe.

Kisenyi’s goals arrived from Marvin Atengeka, Llyas Omran, Abdullahi Ahmed (brace) and Richard Mutumba.

Park received the trophy for the super cup and medals before getting the trophy for the betPawa Futsal super league.

Park became the third winners of the Futsal super cup after Typhoon and Luzira Thunders.

They had also earlier claimed the Futsal Uganda Cup.

“It was a great season. We all worked hard and we were determined to succeed.” Park’s Michael Abura, also the MVP stated.

Other individual top performers:

Michael Lubowa (50 goals) of Lubaga Grameen claimed the golden boot.

Lubowa set a new record having surpassed Mike Sulaiman Mutyaba’s previous record of 48 goals in 26 games.

 Sulaiman Sekanyo (Kisenyi) was best coach, Marvin Atengeka (Kisenyi) took the best defender’s award, Brian Drileba (Park) was best goalkeeper and Brian Olwa (Edgars) was the most promising young player.

Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) is the body mandated to organize official Futsal competitions in the country, under the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
