2024 ISF Football (Girls):

  • Uganda (Amus College) 32-0 Czech Republic

Boys:

  • Uganda (Bukedea Comprehensive) 9-0 Mexico
  • Uganda (St Mary’s College Kisubi) 7-3 Hungary

It has been a goals galore at the ongoing 2024 ISF Football championship in Dalian city, China.

Uganda’s Amus College School girl’s team ran amok with a 32-0 humiliation of Czech Republic on Thursday, 23rd May 2024.

Edinar Nasipwondi starred as she scored 9 goals to her personal tally. There were hat-tricks apiece from Shafiga Tamisi, Desire Natoolo Katisi, Zahara Kakayi, Jolyce Kainza, Shayrine Ikalakala and Asia Kakai.

The other goals were braces each from Dorine Wandera and Esther Namataka as well as an own goal.

Nasipwondi turned villain with a red card after retailation foul.

This was Amus College’s third game of the campaign where they had earlier won and drawn apiece to make it 7 points thus far.

Amus College plays Canada on Friday morning. Canada leads the standings having walloped Czech Republic 37-0.

Boys’ football:

Meanwhile; Uganda’s boys football side Bukedea Comprehensive School humbled Mexico 9-0 in group F.

Elvis Ssekajugo scored a haul, with Yusuf Ssebumpenje, Edwin Aine and James Kaye scoring twice each. Halid Asega netted the other goal.

St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) defeated Hungary 7-3 for their first win of the campaign.

Aaron Ampe scored a hat trick, Sherlin Tukashaba added a brace with a goal apiece from Albert Mugisha and Shawn Bwogi.

Knock-out & classification phase:

With the group stages done and dusted, focus now turns to the knock out round and the classification round.

Bukedea Comprehensive (group F leaders) will square up against England (group E leaders).

Amus College College (group G leaders) shall battle against Turkey (group H leaders) in the quarter final showdown.

SMACK embarks on the journey in the classification matches.
