Social activist, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur Frank Gashumba has extended his apology to the Buganda Kingdom and its Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga.

Gashumba, who had been at odds with the Katikkiro for an extended period, made a notable gesture of reconciliation during a visit to Bulange, Mengo, in an effort to mend relations.

In the presence of the Katikkiro and other Buganda officials, Gashumba expressed that his decision to apologize was influenced by several prominent figures, including the late Archbishop Ciprian Kizito Lwanga and former Masaka governor Jude Mbabaali.

He humbly urged the Katikkiro to forgive him, acknowledging his past use of harsh language in his criticisms.

Gashumba expressed his regret for his prior behavior and took the opportunity to thank the Katikkiro for his dedicated service in safeguarding the interests of the Buganda Kingdom, especially in protecting the Kabaka (King).

In response, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga expressed gratitude for Gashumba’s acknowledgment and apology, emphasizing that it serves as an important lesson for others to learn from.
