At Tidori Ministries Uganda, we believe in the power of God’s Word to bring peace and strength to troubled hearts. One of the verses that continues to encourage and guide us is 2 Timothy 1:7, which says:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Fear does not come from God. It is not His gift to us. When we feel afraid, anxious, or unsure, we must remember that these feelings do not reflect the spirit God gave us. Instead, God gives us power, love, and a sound mind—gifts that help us stand strong, think clearly, and love deeply, even in difficult times.

At Tidori Ministries, we know that fear can be loud and overwhelming. It tells us we are not enough, that we cannot make it, that we are alone. But God’s voice speaks louder than fear. He reminds us that He is with us, that He has equipped us, and that we can face anything because His Spirit lives inside of us.

It reminds us that we are valued, forgiven, and never forgotten. And the sound mind God gives helps us stay calm and steady, even when everything around us seems uncertain.
