MTN Monthly Mug (June 2024):

  • Overall winner: Horace Rwakabureete – 68 nett (Countback)

The monthly tee for June 2024 at the par-71 lake side Entebbe club lived to its anticipated billing.

Dubbed “Back to school education”, the theme was lined to help raise proceeds for the rehabilitation of St Joseph’s Katabi Primary school in Entebbe Division A.

Over 120 golfers were engaged in the day-long championship under sunny weather conditions.

By close of business, Horace Rwakabureete was the overall winner with 68 nett (countback).

After action on the field of play, the 19th hole experience was well-lit and organized in a setting for a school environment with a class-room sitting arrangement.

The golfers dressed to kill in the respective school uniforms, reflecting upon the sweet old memories from their school days.

The best dressed on the night, Jovia Tugume and Michael Monnie were also rewarded with Ug.Shs 500,000 cash voucher each that they generously donated back to the fundraising cause.

The school canteen (serving area) duly perfected the intended purpose as the golfers paid via MTN Momo pay to get their favourite meal and drinks of their choice at a subsidized rate.
