Uganda’s Amus College School will battle China 1 in the final of the 2024 ISF football World Cup on Sunday, 26th May in Dalian city.

The development comes after a spirited 4-2 post match penalty victory over fellow Ugandan side Bukedea Comprehensive School during an epic semi-final clash on Saturday.

Normal time had ended goal-less with no chance converted from either Bukedea side.

The tense dramatic shoot-out witnessed Amus College School’s goalkeeper Ben Sinalya save two kicks from Bukedea Comprehensive School captain Godfrey Ssekibengo and Elvis Sekajugo.

Only Hamuza Ntagurira and Yusuf Ssebumpenje had their shots converted.

John Brian Otim, Hussein Sharif, Samuel Owaram and skipper Bran Majub Toto all converted from 12 yards.

The other semi-final was an all China affair. China 1 overcame China 2 by 4-3 in post match penalties after a score-less draw.

The boy’s final on Sunday has Uganda (Amus College School) against China 1 in the main stadium.

Meanwhile, in the classification duels, Amus College School girls’ team lost 2-0 to England.

Amus College School will play in their last match for position 7 or 8.

St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) fell 2-4 to Chinese Taipei. SMACK will play for position 31 or 32 in the final match.
