A Pass responds to Rabadaba’s claims of being the dancehall blueprint

A Pass has fired shots at Rabadaba, following a social media post by the latter that rubbed many the wrong way.
Last month, Rabadaba published a post declaring himself the blueprint for many Ugandan dancehall artists.

He wrote: “I Am Your Favorite Artists Idol. Some Of These Dancehall Artists want to be me so bad! They want to look like Me, Sing Like Me, Walk Talk and Dress Like Me. SMH.”
One artist who wasn’t amused? A Pass.
Appearing on NTV The Beat, A Pass dismissed Rabadaba’s claims as baseless and emotional.
I think he spoke through feelings, he didn’t speak with facts.
Anyone can say what they want but it doesn’t mean it’s factual. If you come up and say ‘dancehall artists’ and don’t even mention me, that’s already a problem. I’ve done more dancehall than majority of these artists, and they know it for a fact.
Despite acknowledging Rabadaba’s past talent, A Pass didn’t hold back on critiquing his current relevance:
No one can say Rabadaba wasn’t good — he was really good. But because he was so good, he ran away. If you believe what you’re doing is exceptional, stay here and keep doing it. His 15 minutes of fame are long gone.
