Miss Deedan shares her frustration with the constant marriage questions
Miss Deedan, real name Diana Deedan Muyira, has opened up about one of the most common and often frustrating questions she faces: “When are you getting married?”
Speaking on the “Nothing Serious” podcast, Deedan candidly shared how tired she has become of answering the same question, especially from family members.
You know, that’s why I don’t like going for family gatherings. When you go for things like Easter celebrations, you have to start practicing your answers, things like, ‘In God’s time,’ or ‘God has all the answers.’
Adding her humor to the conversation, Deedan revealed that after Uganda’s recent national census, she found a new response to fend off the pressure.
I now say the problem is 51%, (referencing the percentage of women in Uganda compared to 49% men). And out of the 49%, 38% are already married.
