In the second unofficial ODI, Yastika Bhatia's brilliant 84-ball 112 would not save India A from a heart-wrenching loss as Australia A had to defend a mammoth target of 339 with three balls to spare. The series tied the match-up 1-1, with a decider in the same city on September 25. 

Yastika Bhatia's Century Sets a Daunting Target

India A had a strong start with Priya Punia and Tanisha Singh, who reached a partnership of 58 runs to put them in a good position in the first innings. Punia struck four straight boundaries off Tess Flintoff in the sixth over to make it 58 for 1 and Tanisha was soon to follow with 37 runs to make it 116 for 1, which seemed like the ideal way to start the innings for Bhatia and fans who followed the series on Khelosuper threads. 

A 124-Run Stand That Built the Total

The batting-friendly surface didn't take long to be put to good use for Bhatia who went into the 50 at the fourth over off 45 balls to join Tejal Hasabnis on a useful third wicket 124-run partnership. She then came up with her 100th off 79 balls, including two fours and a six in one over off Charli Knott, to seal the victory for India A in what was a brilliant hitting period. 

Bhatia's Dismissal in the 36th Over

Bhatia was later dismissed for 112 off 84 balls as Darcie Brown was caught by Lilly Mills in the 36th over after bowling 16 fours and two sixes in her individual effort, which was one of the highlights of the tour thus far. 

A Flourishing Finish Pushes India A Past 338

Hasabnis added a valuable 60 of 66 to make India A 299 for 6 before Darcie Brown took both Niki Prasad and Minnu Mani in succession. In the final over, Anushka Sharma then picked up the pace, finishing unbeaten on 60 off 46 balls, scoring seven fours and two sixes to help India A build a formidable 338 to finish. Brown completed her eight overs with 3 for 39, which was the only Australian bowling spell under 5 an over, in the entire innings. 

Australia A's Remarkable Chase Begins

Set 339 to win, Australia A found their platform through a counter-attacking approach right from the start. Captain Tahlia Wilson combined with Anika Learoyd for a 76-run stand for the second wicket, with Learoyd smashing 54 off just 29 balls at a strike rate of over 186 to set the tone for the chase.

Wilson, Knott and Learoyd All Score Fifties

Wilson continued to anchor the innings while Charli Knott provided further impetus at number four with an aggressive 63 off 37 balls. Between them, Wilson, Learoyd and Knott all reached fifty, a trio of contributions that made the difference in a match where the total simply kept climbing.

Illingworth Seals the Win in the Final Over

With the chase threatening to unravel late as India A's spinners, particularly Minnu Mani, who finished with 3 for 48, and Vaishnavi Sharma clawed back some control, it was Victorian Milly Illingworth who finished the job. Her unbeaten 22 off 14 balls included the winning boundary through square leg, sealing a two-wicket victory at 341 for 8 with three balls remaining, a nail-biting finish that fans discussing the series on Khelosuper discussion boards called one of the best of the tour so far.
