Witnesses in Pr. Kayanja's Sodomy case reveal lead testimonies as court adjourns to next Monday. 

The ongoing trial involving nine youths accused of fabricating sodomy claims against Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre is continuing at the Mwanga II Magistrates Court.

The Proceed8ngs in court on Wednesday 23rd July 2026, featured one of the accused, Reagan Ssentongo, alleging in his defense that the prosecutor had previously pressured him to implicate other rival pastors which he told is not true denying any association with any other party but I stead pinning Pr. Kayanja as employing him as a Homosexual agent at h8s farm in Kiryandongo. 

He said that where as he was trained as a Security officer for the farm he acted on behalf of his boss to coordinate his activities. 

While being cross examined by Counsel Jonathan said that much of the evidence produced were false. 

 Among the Key Developments in the case are that the nine youths face charges of criminal trespass, conspiracy to defeat justice, and providing false information to police, with the state arguing the allegations were part of a financially motivated smear campaign.

Evidence by State prosecutors have presented video confessions of the accused acknowledging they were part of a street gang and are to admit medical reports of evidence of sexual assault

Pastor Kayanja has consistently denied all allegations, which date back to a similar episode in 2009 where a group of fellow pastors and associates were convicted of tarnishing his name.

 The state has accused some suspects in the Pastor Robert Kayanja sodomy case of intentionally delaying their defence. 

The Magistrate adjourned next Monday on 27th July 2026
