Quarter-final Results:
- Ssingo SS 0 (4) – 0 (5) MUMUSA High School
- St. Francis Busunju 3-1 Tammu SS
- Royal Giant High School 2-0 Kiwawu SS
- St. Francis Mityana 3-0 Naama Modern
It is now the semi-final level of 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) football in Mityana district.
MUMUSA High school, St Francis Busunju, Royal Giant High School and St Francis Mityana are all through to the last four stage of the competition.
This follows the successful completion of the quarterfinals played at the Mityana Ssaza ground on Tuesday, 26th March 2024.
Holders Ssingo secondary school fell out to MUMUSA High School 5-4 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended all square, goalless.
St Francis Busunju humbled Tammu Secondary School 3-1 courtesy of a well-taken brace from Gerald Yoga and Collins Ojera Talemwa.
Brian Nsubuga got the consolation for Taamu Secondary School.
Frank Mulindwa’s coached Royal Giant High School defeated Kiwaawu Secondary School 2-0.
St Francis Mityana won 3-0 over Naamu Modern Secondary school in the other quarter final duel.
Epic semi-finals:
The semi-finals and finals will be played on Wednesday, 27th March 2024 at Mityana Ssaza ground.
Royal Giant High School takes on St Francis Mityana and St Francis Busunju will face MUMUSA High school in the other contest.
“The semi-final is a final before the final. The players are mentally and physically ready for the task at hand” James Kaweesi, head coach of St Francis Busunju stated.
The finalists will represent Mityana at the USSSA Zonal championships which involves schools from Mpigi, Mityana, Mubende and Kassanda.
