"Since I Stole Your Money for a KDF Job, I’ve Been Eating Grass," Con Admits

I am still struggling to come to terms with the fact that someone tricked my family into selling part of our land to bribe him Sh 120,000 so he could supposedly secure me a spot in the Kenya Defense Force (KDF).
The idea actually came from my sister, who said the man was a member of a popular WhatsApp group. He had announced that he had a few slots left for anyone interested in joining the army and demanded Sh 90,000 per candidate to fast-track the documentation process.
There were seven of us from my neighborhood, and we all chipped in to raise the money. The community came together in large numbers, and fortunately, we managed to gather over a million shillings.
