Muhammad Shaban salvaged a point for KCCA with his 15th of the season goal midway the second half as they played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba.

KCCA twice came from a goal down to draw level the game that ends their six-match winning run.

Noordin Bunjo put the hosts in the lead in the 31st minute but the lead couldn’t last beyond four minutes as Haruna Lukwago replied immediately.

Ashraf Mulindi restored the lead for Bright Stars three minutes after restart but Shaban made sure points are shared with a goal in the 75th minute.

Results all but ends KCCA’s faint title hopes as they stay 6th on the log with 39 points, eight behind leaders Kitara.

Their next game is a big one against city rivals SC Villa at Namboole on May 1 while Bright Stars will play away to UPDF the following day.
