Seeta University offers free eight weeks AI short course training opportunities to 500 S.6 Vacation students

Seeta University has appealed to all outgoing senior six vacation students across the country to enroll for their free ongoing eight weeks Artificial Intelligence [AI] short courses training sessions to sharpen their computer skills which can effectively help the learners acquire skills to design robotic programs and apps for future income generating projects thus create jobs to fight poverty.
The development came to light 28th February 2026 during the University successful S6 vacation Fest 2026 event which was aimed at bringing together outgoing Senior six students during their vacation period to Network as the University prepares for its next academic intake.
The University academic registrar Mr. Ronald Mbago pictures above flanked by his student guild prime minister Mumbere Kenneth told this website on the sidelines of the colorful event that the University values its students very much that it took a bold decision to empower the S6 students with free IT skills training specifically focusing at Artificial intelligence.
‘The University has so far registered a total of 500 students coming from all the regions and beyond who are undergoing an eight weeks free Artificial intelligence [AI] short course training program and we encourage more to enlist for this opportunity’ observed Mbago.
He urged those willing to undertake AI skills training to enroll at their Mbalala based campus along Jinja –Kampala highway as five weeks are left until graduation where all shall walk off with certificates distinguishing them as new upcoming AI young gurus.
The University student guild Prime Minister Mumbere Kenneth appreciated the opportunity the University leadership extended to them saying it helped expose many young S6 outgoing students to building strong networks as they are anxious to join this great University for a holistic education.
‘We appreciate the University leadership through our academic registrar Mr Ronald Mbago for availing the over 2,000 outgoing S6 student fraternity drawn from across the country and beyond an opportunity to come and see what the University has in store for them’ noted Mumbere.
He commended Seeta University for coming up with this strategic enriched engagement which effectively gives the students an opportunity to make an informed decision of their future university education.
Mumbere saluted the University for empowering him to prepare to contest for the post of secretary general of the Uganda National students Association [UNSA] which elections are due and pledged his desire to lobby for student led policies which promote inclusivity particularly advocating for a better infrastructure of students with disabilities.
Both Nakibuule Robinnah, an outgoing senior six student from St.Peter’s Secondary School Namawojolo in Mukono district and Kagenyi Ibrahim from Kilithi high Vision school from the Indian ocean coast of Mombasa Kenya collectively appreciated the university for creating this opportunity for them.
They noted that despite coming from different schools and countries, the gesture of uniting them through such a unique and strategic training opportunity has made Seeta University a great and exemplary higher education learning institution in the East African region.
They appealed to the government to consider empowering and investing more resources in the AI training programs for private universities particularly in areas of training of new lecturers, deliberate acquisition and deployment of AI infrastructure like computers and corresponding accessories to these universities such that more vulnerable students from rural places can be covered.
