Rally Driver Alwi Wins MOSAC Autocross and Enduro Challenges
On Saturday 6th December 2025, the rally driver Hassan Alwi won both the MOSAC Autocross and the Enduro Challenge.
The weekend saw both Alwi and his navigator Musa Nsubuga with a brand new Ford Fiesta Proto ahead of the 2026 NRC title which they say are ready to face.
In the previous rallies including Kayunga-Bugerere rally, Gulu rally, and the Kitogoma Autocross in Buikwe District, they made it to 7 minutes and 11.1 seconds to win the Autocross, landing fourth behind him was Umar Dauda (7:19.1) and Edson Mungereza (7:30.2) in second and third position respectively.
The navigator Nsubuga said he is confident they’ve proven the car’s mettle, topping four positions in all three events.
“Next year, we’re going all in racing the full calendar and aiming for the National Rally Championship title,” he said.
Other drivers in the rally included: Edson Mungereza who took the ‘Open’ category, while Humphrey Kawuki in the the Rookies category.
Recently, during the CMC Rajiv Ruparelia Memorial Rally 2025, the penultimate round of the Uganda National Rally Championship (UNRC), Alwi’s Ford Fiesta Protos dominated the day’s proceedings, co-driven by Musa Nsubuga, who delivered a masterclass In pace and precision.
The Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) is planning to host an iconic event dedicated to celebrating individuals and teams whose contributions have shaped Uganda’s motorsport season.
The Celebration of Motorsport Excellence is set for 3rd January 2026 at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi, bringing together competitors, officials, sponsors, media, and fans for one of the sport’s most prestigious nights.
