The South African Football Associations (SAFA) has announced the Orlando stadium as the venue to host South Africa against Uganda Cranes in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match is scheduled for Friday 06th, September 2024 at 18h00 local time which is 7pm East African Time.

SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan urged supporters to come out in numbers and support Bafana Bafana in the same way they have shown in the last few months.

“Ticket sales are now open, please come out in numbers and make it count in the stands. We want to continue the momentum and the amazing scenes we saw in Bloemfontein when Bafana Bafana faced Zimbabwe in June. We want to see the same at Orlando Stadium,” said Dr Jordaan as per safa.net.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has already named a provisional squad for the fixture as well as the game against South Sudan.

Besides Uganda, South Sudan and South Africa, the other team in Group K is Congo Brazzaville.

The two top finishers will qualify for the tournament to be hosted in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
