Minister David Bahati Presides Over 2026 Business Excellence Awards as over 69 Companies, Individuals Honored for Outstanding Performance
KAMPALA, UGANDA – Consumer Publications Uganda Limited successfully hosted the 2026 edition of the “Business Excellence Awards on Friday, 14th August 2026 at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, under the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Innovation.”
The prestigious annual event brought together Uganda’s leading business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders to recognize outstanding companies and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in innovation, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Over 69 companies across various sectors were recognized for setting the benchmark in their respective industries and contributing to Uganda’s economic growth and transformation.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, Agnes Alowo said the Business Excellence Awards remain a platform to celebrate and promote a culture of quality, integrity, and customer-centered service in Uganda’s business community.
“Through the Business Excellence Awards, Consumer Publications Uganda Limited continues to champion excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction across Uganda’s business community. We are proud to recognize businesses that are not only profitable but also impactful,” Ms. Alowo stated.
The Guest of Honour, Hon. David Bahati, Minister of State for Trade, commended the private sector for its resilience and contribution to job creation and national development.
“Government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. I encourage all entrepreneurs to keep building enterprises that drive Uganda’s growth and transformation. Excellence must be our standard,” Hon. Bahati urged.
The Minister reaffirmed Government’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing, value addition, affordable financing, infrastructure development and promotion of Ugandan-made products.

The Director Consumer Publications, Mr. Fekix underscored the importance of the awards revealing that the aim is to close the gap between the consumer and the producer while inspiring entrepreneurs to raise their products standards for national transformation.

Spiro Uganda was recognised as the 2026 Platinum Winner at the Uganda Business in the category of Best Manufacturer and Distributor of Two-Wheeler Electric Motorcycles in Uganda.
