MC Kats responds to Sheilah Gashumba’s call for him to exit TV

TV pressure and events MC Edwin Katamba, alias MC Kats, has responded to the recent comments made by Sheilah Gashumba, who suggested it was time for him to exit television and leave the space for younger talent.

Speaking during an interview on Kasuku Live, Sheilah implied that MC Kats’ era had come to an end and that it was time to let the next generation take over.

The comment was interpreted as a jab at Sheilah, hinting that she benefits financially in ways he finds questionable.

Kats went on to criticize what he views as the misleading influence Sheilah has had on Gen Z audiences.

She has misled people for a long time, especially the Gen Z’s who follow her, so they expect that life is going to move like that.

We have had people who had money and they showed us where they got it from, but now we have a generation telling people stupid, hopeless lies.

He expressed concern that young people are being fed unrealistic expectations about wealth and success, particularly when public figures flaunt posh lifestyles without transparency about their sources of income.

No one working in the normal society of Kampala changes their hair every week or spends heavily in bars.
