Whew! Justin Timberlake kicked off this week with a lil’ legal trouble! New York police reportedly arrested the ‘Mirrors’ singer overnight on Tuesday (June 18).

Details On Justin Timberlake’s Arrest

TMZ confirmed that the Sag Harbor Police Department (SHPD) has Justin in custody at their station. However, authorities are remaining tight-lipped on the details of the arrest until their forthcoming statement is released.

The outlet claims, per their sources, that the arrest could be related to a traffic violation, namely driving while intoxicated (DWI). A Sag Harbor justice court official offered the same information to local outlet News 12 Westchester.

Again, SHPD has yet to confirm the following, but we must note that TMZ spoke to sources who shared last night’s events.

Apparently, the singer pulled up to a Sag Harbor hotel yesterday evening to enjoy dinner with friends. He allegedly dipped out around 12:30 a.m. in his car, but local police later pulled him over. The outlet notes that the alleged traffic stop happened “almost immediately after he took the wheel.”

News 12 Westchester reports that Justin Timberlake was expected to be arraigned on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. local time.
