My name is Brian, a student from Entebbe, Uganda. For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of studying abroad, particularly in America. Growing up, I would see other students traveling for studies and returning with great opportunities, and I always believed that one day I could do the same. I worked hard in school, applied for scholarships every year, but each time I received rejection letters.
For four years straight, I applied for everything—academic scholarships, sports opportunities, and cultural exchange programs—but nothing worked. Each rejection hit hard, but I never gave up.
