HONORARY CONSUL OF NEPAL IN UGANDA SUDHIR CELEBRATES NEPAL CONSTITUTION DAY, CALLS FOR SOLIDARITY AMID FLOOD CRISIS

KAMPALA, UGANDA — On the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day, the Honorary Consul of Nepal in Uganda, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, extended his warmest congratulations to the government and people of Nepal, celebrating the country's remarkable journey toward democratic progress, civil liberties, and inclusive representation.

The constitution, adopted on September 19, 2015, laid the foundational blueprint for the rule of law, social equality, and economic transformation, marking Nepal's successful transition into a federal democratic republic.

While celebrating this historic milestone of national unity, Dr. Ruparelia also issued a solemn call for international solidarity and prayers following the catastrophic flash floods that recently devastated the South Asian nation.

"As we celebrate the strength of Nepal's democracy and its foundations of civil liberties, our hearts and prayers are firmly with those who have been deeply affected by the recent tragic floods," stated Dr. Ruparelia. The bilateral relationship between Uganda and Nepal continues to grow on the pillars of mutual respect, tourism potential, and shared economic development goals. Through the consulate in Kampala, Dr. Ruparelia reiterated his commitment to fostering deeper economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between East Africa and South Asia, while standing firmly with Nepal during both times of national celebration and humanitarian need.
