From Being Laughed at for Always Coming Last to Rising as a Top Student, A Remarkable Transformation

For most of his early years, Brian Kato from Jinja, Uganda, carried the painful weight of constant failure. In school, he was always at the bottom of the class. Each time exam results were announced, his name would be the last on the list. Some classmates laughed at him openly, while others whispered about his poor performance. At home, relatives compared him to his cousins, asking why he couldn’t be “like the other children.” Those words cut deep, and with time, Brian began to believe he was simply not intelligent.
He made several attempts to change. He joined extra lessons, borrowed textbooks from friends, and stayed up late every night revising. Yet, despite all the effort, his results hardly improved.
