My name is James Ssebunya, a 37-year-old man from Masaka, Uganda. For a long time, my life seemed full of misfortunes. No matter how hard I tried, nothing ever worked out for me. Every business I started failed. Every job I took ended abruptly. Even in relationships, I faced heartbreak after heartbreak. People around me began to say I was cursed.
I remember one year when I lost three different jobs within just six months. My bosses always said I was hardworking, yet somehow things went wrong and I was let go each time. Later, I used the little money I had saved to start a small shop, but within weeks it was broken into and everything was stolen.
