Dr. Magie Kigozi advocates for good parenthood during this festive season

Parents have been urged to be the first change agents for their children during this festive season and ensure they take courtesy to talk to them and try to understand their issues for possible redress.
She made the remarks 22th December 2025 during an exclusive interview with this website at Kabira country club while expressing her Christmas message to the country.
Kigozi, a renowned investment expert, entrepreneur, feminist, sportswoman, farmer and director at the crown beverages Ltd [CBL] the manufacturers of Pepsi soft drink products said it was very important that parents find time to discuss crucial matters affecting their children during this festive season and find lasting solutions.
She observed that schools have done their part of keeping and teaching the children academics but it would now take the sole responsibility of the parents and close guardians to discuss with them moral values with a view of instilling into them integrity, discipline, hard work and respect for all persons at all times if they are to overcome societal challenges.
Matters of discussion may range from their future expectations, the challenges they face while at school and how they relate with friends, teachers, elders and other strangers such that if challenges arise the parent can offer timely guidance.
She noted that too much freedoms by parents to their children is not bad but risks exposing the moral fibre of such children in the near future once the parent has passed on cautioning that the children need to be encouraged to do household chores and learn new practical things within their immediate communities like seeking vocational skills training opportunities to empower them master the art of self-employment for the future.
Turning to the government she commended the president for creating a conducive environment which has enabled investors both local and foreign to invest their resources in the industrial sector leading to creation of massive jobs for the citizens, largely the young adults.
Kigozi also urged the citizens to actively participate in the forthcoming political electioneering process as it was their constitutional mandate to elect leaders of their choice and accept to keep the peace for a great future of Uganda.
