AHI Uganda hosts dedication prayer ceremony for sponsored students

Education: Dozens of parents and students have appreciated the gesture accorded to them by the country leadership of the African Hospitality Initiative [AHI Uganda] which offers education bursaries to thousands of bright but financially challenged students and extending vocational skills training opportunities to vulnerable citizens.
Oloya Florence the secretary for women affairs LC I zone 4 in Mutungo Bina parish in Nakawa division said their division NRM women league chairperson Kusiima Irene requested her to donate space to host a vocational skills training workshop sponsored by AHI Uganda of which she obliged.
The training exposed them to subjects ranging from domestic violence prevention to income generating course courses and mindset change among others resulted in the introduction of the school bursary scheme which they embraced attracting dozens of children from the division as beneficiaries.
She told this website 17th May 2026 on the sidelines of the AHI Uganda project beneficiary students dedication prayer mass.
The prayers brought together over 400 parents and students held at God's Kind of life ministries Glorious church at Kawoto Kiwanga Namanve in Mukono district presided over by Dr. Apostle Isaac Lugand.
Oloya who doubles as the area village health team [VHT] volunteer said the project had positively impacted on many vulnerable children with no hope of attending school but are now currently attending school.across the country
Nansubuga Beatrice from Mutungo Bina zone 5 said she managed to secure a bursary for her daughter Nanziri Christine in senior one at St. Martia Mulumba SS Kungu Kyanja in Kawempe division after loosing her job.
Ntalo Darren Warren a beneficiary of the scheme said is currently a senior three student studying at Bristol High school Matugga aiming to become a surgical medical practitioner in future.
His other three young brothers and sisters are studying at Good foundation primary school Jjanda Namugongo and at Waterford primary school respectively.
Dr Isaac Luganda the country director of AHI Uganda said they have offered both free vocational skills training opportunities and formal education bursaries to over 144,200 since project inception 17 years ago and hosted 10 graduation ceremonies respectively.
