Upcoming singer Aaronx has shared the incredible journey of how he secured a collaboration with Sheebah Karungi, popularly known as Queen Karma, for the remix of his song “Njalwala.”
Aaronx narrated that it all began with an unexpected phone call from Fik Fameica. “Fik called me out of the blue and said he had a friend who wanted to remix my song ‘Njalwala’,” Aaronx says.
To his shock, Fik revealed that this friend was none other than Sheebah Karungi.
I couldn’t believe it. I was so surprised that I dropped my phone and started running around my house in excitement.
Once he regained his composure, Aaronx asked Fik how he could get in touch with Sheebah. Fik provided Sheebah’s number, and Aaronx wasted no time, calling her three times around 1 PM.
Unfortunately, there was no immediate response, but later in the evening, Sheebah returned his call.
She asked who I was, and when I introduced myself, she told me she was a fan of my music and particularly liked ‘Njalwala.’
Sheebah then scheduled a studio session with Aaronx to record the remix. However, on the day of the session, there was a hiccup.
Aaronx and his team tried reaching out to Sheebah, but she wasn’t answering. Hours later, Sheebah called back, apologizing and explaining that she had lost her voice due to previous performances and needed some time to recover.
Despite the initial setback, the two artists eventually linked up and recorded the remix. Aaronx couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
