Where did Sheila Nvannungi go? Here’s what the Buganda Princess is up to now

For anyone who loved Ugandan music in the early 2000s, the name Sheila Nvannungi surely rings a bell.
She was one of the most recognizable voices of her time, delivering hits like Obwomu Buluma, Doctor, Eriiso, Omutima Gw’omukyala, and Omulangira. Her talent even earned her the PAM Award for Female Artist of the Year in 2004.

But in recent years, she has largely disappeared from the limelight, leaving fans wondering—where did Sheila Nvannungi go?
Well, we did some digging, and here’s what we found.
Sheila Cinderella Nvannungi isn’t just a talented artist—she’s also royalty. Born in 1982, she is the daughter of Omulangira George William Juuko Walugembe Kassabanda, making her a princess in the Buganda Kingdom.
Sheila also had a notable media presence. She worked as a presenter on Bukedde TV, CBS FM, and Bukedde FM. Despite her success in broadcasting, it was music that defined her early career and it’s where she made her name most.
In recent years, Sheila Nvannungi has taken a completely different path—one rooted in faith. She is now a born-again Christian and a Pastress.
According to an old interview, Sheila said she has left “worldly music” behind for good and is fully committed to her spiritual journey. She even started her own church, which is located along Namayumba Road.
Sheila’s transformation hasn’t just been professional, it’s deeply personal too. She got married in a private introduction ceremony in 2022 and is now a proud mother of twins, earning her the title of Nalongo.
By all accounts, she is living a peaceful and fulfilling life away from the spotlight, focused on her family and faith.
So for those who’ve been asking, “Where is Sheila Nvannungi?”—now you know. She’s still around, just in a different spotlight.
