VP Jesca Alupo graces King Ceaser graduation, pledges support
Vice president H.E. Jesca Alupo officially presided over their 2nd graduation ceremony at King Ceasor University on Bunga hillwhere a total of 188 students were awarded degrees and diplomas respectively.
For the record, the colorful event was effectively attended by the first ever largest number of foreign diplomats accredited to Uganda converging at a single event alongside several cabinet ministers, members of parliament and parents drawn from over 29 countries across the world.
Alupo congratulated the board of King Ceasor University led by council chairman Hon.Okello Oryema who doubles as minister of foreign affairs and his chancellor HE.HH. King Ceasor Augustus Mulenga for steering the University to greater horizons and pledged to initiate partnerships between government and the facility to help drive innovations.
Present were the minister of ICT and national guidance Dr.Chris Baryomunsi, state for higher education Dr.Chrisistem Muyingo, state for mineral development Dr.Peter Lokeris and state for children affairs Mateke Sarah and a host of legislators among others.
The vice president shocked the audience when upon picking the microphone to address the congregation she instantly requested the director quality assurance at the National Council for higher education [NCHE] Dr.Achanga to move forward before she directly requested him to appear the next morning at that University and check up with their progress of work in fulfilling the requirements to secure a charter.
She observed that the president who is the official visitor to all Universities together with the minister of education and sport Hon.Janet Kataha Museveni are impressed by the great work being done at KCU saying they would do all it takes to ensure that the University becomes one of the leading in the country, regionally and globally.
Alupo picured above (L) on a light note pointed out that of the current 54 Universities, of which 10 are public and 43 private, 10 are already chartered saying efforts should be made to support KCU to enlist with the inter University council of East Africa in order to become more competitive at both regional and global level through use education in research and innovation to transform the country
