In a blog post marking the grand event's conclusion, he emphasized its spiritual and cultural significance, stating, "Maha Kumbh is complete, and so is the Mahayagna of Unity."
According to official reports, over 65 crore devotees participated in the sacred Sangam Snan (holy dip) at Prayagraj, far exceeding expectations. Modi expressed deep reverence for Mother Ganga, Mother Yamuna, and Mother Saraswati, acknowledging their divine role in the event.
Maha Kumbh 2025: A Historic Gathering
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the event as a symbol of unity and faith, reaffirming his trust in the people of the state. The Prime Minister also extended his gratitude to sanitation workers, police officers, boatmen, drivers, and cooks, recognizing their dedication in ensuring a seamless experience for devotees.
Highlighting the event’s unparalleled scale, Modi stated that the number of pilgrims who took part in the Maha Kumbh Snan was nearly double the population of the United States. This year’s gathering set a new benchmark for religious congregations, surpassing previous Kumbh Melas in terms of participation and organization.
