Victoria University holds 5th graduation
To the students “Don’t think you are the only one who knows yet you must endeavor to standout through being competitive. Standout as a unique individual but doesn’t pretend to know all.”
Victoria University on Friday February 19 2021 held their 5th graduation ceremony where 47 completed their studies in different faculties including Health Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Business & Management and Science & Technology among others.
During the ceremony held at Munyonyo Resort Hotel, The University Chancellor Prof Dr Opuda Asibo John, noted that Victoria University is a modern university of experiential learning with cultivated benefits of Ruparelia Group of companies and enterprises an experience says makes it very unique.
“When you are inside Victoria University, you are in a very comfortable environment and you are sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city. Where else in Uganda do you study in the university and experiences the maximum of humanity in the city on society expect Victoria University?” Prof Asubo said.
He cautioned graduates that there are several opportunities for skilled and creative people but asked them to be attractive to the employers and workmates.
“Don’t think you are the only one who knows yet you must endeavour to standout through being competitive. Standout as a unique individual but doesn’t pretend to know all,” the professor said
Juliet Nakasinde (pictured above) of the Faculty of business and management emerged to be the best student with a CGPA of 4.70, while Nigisti Habtemariam Kidane with a CGPA of 4.69 and James Kasozi Musinguzi from the faculty of Humanities and Social Management had a CPGA of 4.24 were awarded with prizes for being among the best-performing students.
Two students John Chol Akuien and Robert Ssewava who are the pioneers of master’s degree program also graduated with master of business administration.
The ceremony was held under the theme ‘Educating with a purpose”.
Sudhir Ruparelia the University Proprietor said that his team is committed to play a leading role in bringing and developing high–quality, student–centered learning opportunities based on standards of excellence that are unique, innovative and difficult to match.
Meanwhile the registration for February-March intake is going on at the University head offices at Victoria Tower along Jinja road.
