  ULS gives 24 hour ultimatum for releasing Advocate Erias Lukwago.

    The Uganda Law Society (ULS) has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the government demanding the immediate release of acting People's Front for Freedom (PFF) president Erias Lukwago, threatening domestic and international legal action if he is not released.

Lukwago Abduction & Ultimatum: The ULS, under the 'Radical New Bar' leadership of President Isaac Ssemakadde, has condemned the abduction of Lukwago by armed men in military uniform. 

ULS Secretary Babu Sam on behalf of the President Ssemakadde Isaac during a press conference in Monday 15th June 2026 stated that a Rule of Law Committee team will pursue action against the Chief of Defence Forces if he is not freed.

We have written a protest note against the abduction of Advocate Erias Lukwago. We have given an ultimatum if 24hiurt.for his release. We will go full blast in courts of lay domestically and Internationally” he said

The ULS leadership has expressed to end this kind interference I. The practice of law in Uganda.
