Uganda sent a sports team to the just concluded East African Magistrates and Judges Conference [EAMJA] that was held in Nairobi Kenya where his worship Kirya Martins, the chief magistrate of Pader  magisterial area emerged as outstanding performer on the pitch winning a medal for the country as a star performer.

The sports gala emerged at the end of the conference which ran between 30th November- 6th December 2025 at Safari Park hotel Nairobi Kenya themed, ‘Justice Beyond brick and mortar: unlocking Multi -door pathways for people -centered justice in East Africa’. The (EAMJA) IS   an umbrella body that brings together all judicial bodies in the East African judiciaries which has reportedly been   discussing matters of integration of policy positions and strategic interventions in addressing the judicial service delivery agenda for the EAC member states.

It climaxed with a sports gala where all countries participated and the Ugandan team composed of 15 players mixed with some three Kenyans and one from Rwanda  group [A]  played against a select team of Tanzania mixed with Zanzibar and Burundi group [B] respectively.

Team A composed of Ugandan goal scorers Hw Kintu Imoran the magistrate for Bujuuko court, scored the second goal and Hon. Denis Mikoyan, chief magistrate Eldoret court Kenya, scored the first and third goals respectively.

Martins who played no 10 gave assist of all the three goals for team [B] goals thus winning himself the medal.

It should be remembered that in 2021, the conference was hosted by Tanzania, where His worship Kirya Martins, won the gold in 100 meters making Uganda shine in Athletics.

 Today again, as a defending champion, he has beaten a Kenyan Judicial Athlete, Hon. Zackriah Kiongo and seven others from Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan respectively in a tense compilation drawing over ten male participants.

The team A with the composition Tanzania won with 4 goals, against Uganda with 3.

Volleyball team, Ugandan delegates were 12 being headed by Zulaika Nanteza, Deputy Registrar Mediation in Uganda, team B were the runs up among other thrilling encounters.
