On 19th October 2025, various human resource professionals from different organisations convened to discuss the contribution of artificial intelligence (AI) to the growth of careers a d business using modern digital tools that organisations can leverage on while executing their duties  

The human resource professionals under the K7 group were exposed to different AI tools that artificial according to Human Resource expert Bhavesh Chandaria say can support career growth in different ways including personal learning, enhancing resumes, building personal brands, smarter networking, analysising career trajectories, staying ahead of industry trends among other benefits.

 Bhavesh Chandaria a Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Steel PLC a SAFAL Group member, gave pragmatic know and do how tips on AI for Career and Business growth, highlighting practical tips to overcome hurdles through adopt if the s different AI tools.

During an interview with Bhavesh at the sidelines of the session held at Skyz hotel in Naguru, Kampala, the Human Resource evangelist from Ethiopian highlighted that where as AI will continue to support organizations in executing their duties, there is a need for integration of human intelligence to guide the use of AI. 

“AI will do the first 60-79% of the employees work. Human intelligence will always be required. A good employee will allow it to support his work. A professional is a person who does work without supervision but delivers work on agreed standards” he said

Bhavesh urged organisations to establish programs that will enable employees to adopt to AI tools to support systems and encourage employees to use them.

“Organisations can create programs for employees to learn and adopt AI tools at a fast pace. Many tools can work with organization systems. As a member of Saval group our company we conducted workshops on AI and adopted many tools” he said.

He projected a future of AI where efficiency will be driven, a harmonious co-existance of human resource with AI, a delegation of duties to AI while solving various problems.

“I see a co-existance of HR and AI in good harmony, duties delighted to AI. I believe AI can solve problems such as medical science, emancipation of human life” he added.

He however cautioned employees to use AI responsibility and stay connected with the environment and human nature.

Shamim Walusimbi the leader of the K7 group and a member of the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda (HRMAU) said that the group organized the AI session for Human resource professionals from different organisations to enhance their practices within their organization and network through social gathering that the group organizes for the members.

“We had representatives from different organisations and a session of AI and networking to know each and eventually use the bond to enhance HR best practices within organizations and beyond” she said.

Shamim said that the group which a member of the bigger Human Resource House promotes work life balance exclusively to the Human Resource professionals.

Some of the participants applauded the organisers of the session expressing gratitude to the HR expert with positive feedbacks requesting for further workshops from Mr. Bhavesh.
